You know, Tokyo is one of the busiest cities in the world, isn't it?
However, there are so many beautiful gardens in the middle of that. For example, Shinjuku Gyoen in Shinjuku city where the Tokyo Metropolitan Government house is, Imperial Palace East Gardens near Tokyo Station, Hama Rikyu near Tokyo Bay, and so on.
I picked the relatively small garden up for you this time.
That is the Former Yasuda Garden in Sumida city near Ryogoku Station, and the Sumo Stadium is just next to this garden. Moreover, the Edo-Tokyo Museum is just behind the stadium. So you can enjoy all of them at one time.
In the early 1700s, it was built as a house whose one of the family members of Tokugawa. The garden had a pond shaped like a Chinese character "心" which meant heart. After the Meiji Restoration, Yasuda Zaibatsu financial clique got this property and it was given to Tokyo just before the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1922.
After that, it was re-constructed as you can see.
The wall around the garden and the map of it
You can see both buildings and the garden.
You can also see Tokyo Sky Tree over the garden.
There are many residents here in the pond, too.
This is the nearest station, Ryogoku.
Why don't you come and feel Japanese heartwarming sceneries in the middle of Tokyo?
