☆Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station☆

As you know, the busiest station in Tokyo is Shinjuku Station but the most beautiful station in Tokyo is definitely Tokyo Station.

I would highly recommend visiting Tokyo Station if you're the first visitor to Tokyo.

I will show you some beauty of the station someday later, and I will show you the surroundings this time instead.

The Imperial Palace, former Edo Castle, is the residence of the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Actually, they are not living there at the moment and they will move there in few months after the renovation.

Before going to the Palace, let's look at the surroundings.

Here is Wadakura Fountain Park with great fountains, a chill and relax place for office workers near here.

Behind this park, you can see the Palace Hotel.
Just across the road beside it, now you can see the Palace, which is Edojō Sakurada Tatsumi Yagura, one of the surviving turrets.
This is Niju Bashi, Imperial Palace Main Gate Iron Bridge, which is the main gate to the Imperial Palace.
Around the palace, there are some gravel paths, which are always maintained neatly.
There are some government offices south of the palace.
This is the statue of the famous 14th-century samurai, Kusunoki Masashige, which stands in Kokyo Gaien National Garden next to the palace.
You can also enjoy some old fashioned buildings in this area.

If you're interested in the inside of the palace, a self-guided tour is provided. So you can enjoy more about the palace.

It is very difficult to show you the surroundings at one time and this is just a little bit.

However, why don't you add this area to your bucket list of next trip to Tokyo?

Please keep checking my blog. I will show you some impressive places around Tokyo, Japan.
