☆Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens☆

I had a chance to visit Koishikawa Korakuen in central Tokyo.
Actually, this place is near my office. However, it is open from 9 to 5, I cannot visit here after work because it is too late.
I took a day off and visited here for the first time.
Koishikawa Korakuen is a beautiful landscape garden from the early Edo Period that is enjoyable during all four seasons of the year. It was built by the founder of the Mito branch of Tokugawa clan, Yorifusa as his secondary residence in 1629, and completed by the second domain lord, Mitsukuni.
There are ponds and hills that were mimicking some famous places in other areas in Japan.

Now, we can enjoy Autumn leaves in Autumn.

Not only the inside of the garden was beautiful, but also the outside was so impressive.

The rocks that were used as walls were used to be rock walls of the Edo Castle in the early 17th Century.
Those rocks were given by local domain lords, so this mark represented which lord gave this rock.

It's just 300 yen to enter this garden. Because the entrance fee is not free, the garden and landscape are always kept so beautiful. Since the scenery changes with each time you visit, you never get tired of this garden.
If you have a chance to come, why don't you visit Korakuen area?
