☆Global Climate Strike☆

Global Climate Strike!
I participated in a demonstration of global climate on last Friday.
Environmental problems are hot topics these days. There are some protesting acts and seminars anywheres any days before the UN climate action summit 2019.

The venue was in Shibuya, where everyone easily accessed from an urban area, and when I arrived there there were already tons of people gathering.
One thing I noticed was as if I were in Melbourne or some other countries other than Japan.
Yes, the less Japanese there were.
So many non-Japanese from babies and kids to adults were there. Even though climate problems are not only country-wide but also global, I was surprised at it.
And at the same time, I was so embarrassed as a Japanese.
This march was for young generations. The strike for climate action started by Greta Thunberg in Stockholm in 2018 and the other young strikers around the world followed.
According to the UN, "The best science, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, tells us that any temperature rise above 1.5 degrees will lead to major and irreversible damage to the ecosystems that
support us,” said United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. “Science tells us that on our current path, we face at least 3-degrees Celsius of global heating by the end of the century.”

So, this is a problem for not only us living now but also the next generations. That's the reason why young people rose up.

What do you want? Climate justice!
When don you want it? Now!
Save our future!!
Protect our future!!
Anyway, it was a very good opportunity to know what is going on about climate crisis.
